Coastal Valley Veterinary Services, LLC
In-Home & Mobile Services

Because of the shorter lifespan of our pets and livestock, we stress the importance of a periodic physical examination. Thorough exams and preventive care can help identify and alleviate serious pet and herd health problems. We offer a wide range of mobile veterinary services to keep your animal companions feeling their best:

Coastal Valley Veterinary Services, LLC ServicesDiagnostic and Therapeutic Services:  We are equipped to provide a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services to care for your pets' and livestock health care needs. When advanced diagnostics or intensive hospital care is needed for cats or dogs, CVVS will refer and work closely with a veterinary hospital near you. We are also affiliated and often work with Deep River Animal Hospital

Ultrasound pregnancy diagnosis: We offer pregnancy diagnosis with ultrasound for cattle, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas and pigs.

Laboratory:  We carry a Vet-Scan2 blood machine that provides blood chemistry testing for cats, dogs, and large animals as well as thyroid testing for cats and dogs, with results that can usually be provided by the end of your appointment. We also utilize commercial veterinary laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations.

Permanent identification: We offer quick and easy microchip identification.

Pharmacy:  We maintain a large inventory of pharmaceuticals, vitamins, parasite control products and heartworm preventatives to meet the needs of your animals. We also utilize an on-line pharmacy to provide refill or new prescriptions and pharmaceuticals delivered directly to your door.

Individualized Flea Control Programs:  We develop programs for the specific needs of your pet and your own particular environmental situation. We will review with you the best ways to control fleas in your house, in your yard and on your pet.

Dietary Counseling:  We will provide guidance regarding your pet's nutritional needs for each life stage, including dietary requirements for growth, weight maintenance and performance. We can also consult with or refer you to a Board-Certified Veterinary Nutritionist for more complex dietary needs or concerns.

Behavioral Counseling:  We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and aggression. We can also consult with or refer you to a Board-Certified Veterinary Behaviorist for more difficult behavior problems.

Emergency Care:  Please call our main telephone number (860) 867-6367 for instructions for after-hour emergencies. Emergency coverage is provided by CVVS for our current clients and patients; if Dr. Hall is unavailable for emergency calls, the voicemail message will provide phone numbers for hospitals that are covering.

Hospice and At-Home Euthanasia:  Hospice care is available for our pets and can often extend the days they can enjoy with their families in the face of terminal disease or at the end of a long life. When the time comes to say goodbye with dignity and without pain, Coastal Valley Veterinary Services is honored to be able to provide this service in the comfort and quiet of your own home. Please visit our page on Hospice and At-Home Euthanasia for more information, or contact us with any questions or concerns.
